Series Host

Derek Bird – Derek is the Founding Editor of Fly Fusion magazine. He’s worked with the magazine since its inception, played an integral role in establishing the magazine’s unique vision and writes the popular “Stream Lines” column. Along with writing and editing, he also hosts the popular Fly Fusion series. He is a teacher of humanities by day and a lifelong student of fly fishing. Although he juggles a hectic schedule, he still finds time to do what he enjoys more than anything else in life: spending time with his wife and two sons exploring the secluded streams of the West.
